Offered 125 trains to Maharashtra govt, received details for only 41: Piyush Goyal

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on May 26 said Maharashtra goverment is not willing to tell the national transporter which trains they want postponed, cancelled or re-scheduled to ferry stranded migrants in the state amid the coronavirus lockdown.

"Maharashtra govt day before y'day made absolutely false allegation that they were asking for 80 trains but getting only 30-40.

I offered them 125 trains, asking for details.

They were not able to give any details for y'day's trains.

They gave us 41 trains' details," he added.
