Over 8000 people fined for violating social distancing norms, not wearing masks in UP

Amid ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, people have been found flouting social distancing norms UP on numerous occasions.

Police have started issuing challans for flouting social distancing and not wearing mask.

UP Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi informed that over 8000 people fined for violation of social distancing and for not wearing mask.

"More than 8000 people have been fined in the state till date for violation of social distancing norms and for not wearing masks," said Awasthi.
