Indonesian Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr in shadow of active volcano

Mount Sinabung spewed smoke into the air while people attended Eid prayers to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan in the village of Gung Pinto near Karo, in North Sumatra today (May 24th).

Millions of people in the world's largest Muslim country are marking Eid in a more muted fashion this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
