Adorable baby goat hand-reared from birth goes shopping with adoptive human parent

A loyal baby goat being hand reared by a human cutely follows her adoptive parent around a market while they go shopping together.

The white doe named Curfew, after the Covid-19 restrictions, was born in March but the mother was unwell and could not breastfeed.

Cattle rancher Suwat Phromtum took care of the infant and after spending most of his quarantine time with the kid, she became attached to him.

He has since formed a special bond with the farm animal.

The pair were recorded going shopping together in Phayao, northern Thailand, last Saturday (May 16).

Suwat even rode home with her on his motorcycle.

He said: "I came back to Thailand from the U.S when the pandemic had just started and I had to be in quarantine so I spent the time taking care of the herd in my ranch.

"I had helped one goat deliver a baby and unfortunately the mother was weak and could not breastfeed the newborn by herself, so I had to do the job for her.

"The kid started to get attached to me since then because I am the one who fed her since she was born and I assumed that made her think of me as her mother.

"She always walks after me around the ranch, so when I have to go outside I bring her along if it's not too far from home.'' The kid is also adored by the locals in the market area because she behaves more gently than typical goats, that are usually nibbling and damaging things.
