A paramedic checked the temperature of a man stuck in muddy water before rescuing him from the situation.

A paramedic checked the temperature of a man stuck in muddy water before rescuing him from the situation.

The rescuer team clambered into the muddy passage to help the unlucky man who had been stuck in mud for five hours in Bangkok, Thailand.

However, due to the high levels of caution around the COVID-19 pandemic, the rescuer checked the hapless man's temperature before begin helping him.

Onlooker Tianchai Banjongkasena said the man jumped into the drain in a bizarre incident but could not climb back out.

He said: "I remember seeing him walking along the canal then he saw a labourer walking toward him.

He was startled and jumped into the canal.

"I thought he could climb up by himself because when the incident happened the water level was high.

"But then after several hours I called the rescue team because I him again passed out at the bottom of the water passage after the water level has decreased.

The man was rescued from the drain and was sent to the hospital to have him check up again since he has been in the mud for long time.
