How To Prepare For A Possible Second Wave Of COVID-19
According to Business Insider, some experts believe that there will be a "second wave" of coronavirus cases in the fall, or even next winter.
On April 30, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said "In my mind, it's inevitable that we'll have a return of the virus … when it does, how we handle it will determine our fate." To help lesson the chance or impact of a second COVID-19 wave experts say to continue practices like social distancing, wearing a mask in public, hand-washing, and staying home if you're sick.
The impact also depends on how widely accessible testing is and when an effective vaccine is developed.
Experts, including Fauci, have predicted that the vaccine won't be until 2021.
