Blue Angels and Thunderbirds fly over New York to salute first responders

This is the breathtaking moment the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds soared over Stamford on Tuesday (April 28) afternoon to salute the work of first respondents on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis.

Footage from an apartment in New York, one of the worst hit places by COVID-19, shows the stunning fly past.

The elite military flight teams flew in a 40-minute race over New York City, Newark, Trenton and White Plains to honour the struggling health workers in New York and its suburbs.
