Elderly man living alone in India is given birthday cake by local police force

An elderly man in Panchulka was handed a birthday cake by the local police force after they found out he was living alone during the country's lockdown.

Several police officers greeted Karan Puri on his drive and presented him with a birthday cake, a hat and some balloons.

He then broke into tears, overcome with emotion.

According to Neha Chouhan, an officer at the station, they received the information via social media than Karan was living alone on his birthday.
