McConnell Wants Business Protection In Next COVID Bill

According to Reuters, on Wednesday U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell demanded that Congress protect businesses from coronavirus-related liabilities.

He wants to make sure that this is clear in the next legislative bill aimed at combating the pandemic.

McConnell explained to Fox News Radio, โ€œWeโ€™re going to insist on this reform, which is not related to money, as a condition for going forward.โ€ He wants liability protection for businesses that have remained in operation during the national lockdown, and those that may soon reopen.

McConnell added, โ€œWeโ€™re willing to discuss the way forward, provided we have protections for the brave people whoโ€™ve been on the front lines.โ€
