CHINA - A strong blizzard hit northern China, burying vehicles and blocking residential houses on April 20.

The video, shot in the city of Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province, shows vehicles being trapped on the snow and ice covering roads and a group of people managing to push a bus forward.

Two men struggled to walk as the snow came up to their waist.

A man was sweeping away the snow that piled up in front of his house and blocked his door.

Another man was seen using his hand to attempt to dig his car out of the snow.

However, he was heard saying "this is not my car" after seeing the rearview mirror.

The local meteorological observatory has issued a red warning signal (the strongest one) for the blizzard at 17:25 on April 20.

According to local reports, it was the biggest blizzard in 37 years.
