Trump Administration Deems Guns An 'Essential' Business

The Trump administration decided gun stores, shooting ranges and weapons manufacturers are “essential” businesses.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said these businesses remaining open is not a national mandate.

According to Business Insider, the list of “essential” businesses are a guidance for local and state governments.

Gun rights advocacy groups are unclear why guns were added to the list.

The Associated Press reported that guns and ammunition sales are among items people panic bought during the pandemic.
