Tourists seen wearing hazmat suits and googles at Thai airport

Chinese tourists wear hazmat suits, goggles and gloves while waiting for a flight from a Thai airport today (March 21st).

The four female holidaymakers took the extreme measures to protect against the Covid-19 coronavirus while flying from the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok to Phnom Penh Airport in Cambodia.

They even wore the suits on the Airbus A320 plane for the one hour flight the and when they landed, sweltering outside in the 34C temperatures in Phnom Penh.

A fellow flyer who saw them said he was surprised by the extreme measures.

He said: ''Some people were wearing face masks but these four girls took it to the next level.

''They were clearly feeling very hot under all those clothes.

Whether or not it protects them, only scientists will know.

''Even on the flight and when they landed, they were still wearing them.''
