Some californians -- do not have the option of following the stay at home order -- action news now reporter mackenzie drigo shows us how police are handling the large homeless population -- still out in the streets.

I checked with butte county sheriff kory honea.

Governor gavin newsome's "stay at home order" will not apply to people without homes.

"what appears to be the intent of the governors order is that that particular aspect does not apply to people who do not have homes, so they wouldn't be a subject to any citation or arrest by the fact that they're homeless," i also spoke to chico police chief michael obrien - he told me that they are also going about their daily patrols.

Reporting live at the chico police department -- mackenzie drgio action news now coverage you can count on.# again -- the governor did make it clear that he will not be using law enforcement to cite or arrest people -- he wants us to just follow the order out of respect for each other's safety.#
