DOJ: American Tried To Blow Up Car Outside Pentagon

Reuters reports a 19-year-old Arkansas man is appearing before a federal judge on Tuesday.

The Justice Department is accusing him of attempting to blow up a vehicle at the Pentagon.

Matthew Dmitri Richardson was caught by a Pentagon police officer on Monday while he allegedly tried to blow up the car in a parking lot of the building.

Richardson was observed trying to light a piece of fabric that was inserted into the car’s gas tank.
