Marsy's Law passes senate

The senate has passed a bill... expanding the rights of crime victims in kentucky.

Marsy's law was passed two years ago then overturned by the supreme court because of the way it was worded on the ballot.

Today... a new version has passed the senate under the law... crime victims would be notified of all court hearings regarding their cases and allow them to speak during the proceedings.

Opponents say the law says compromises the rights of the accused.
