INFRARED VIDEO OF COYOTE AND BADGER WALKING TOGETHER ALONG TUNNEL UNDER MOTORWAY STORY: An infrared wildlife camera spotted a playful coyote waiting for a badger to walk through a tunnel together under a busy motorway in California's Santa Cruz Mountains.

The moment was captured last November and released on Tuesday (February 4) by NGO Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST).

The video was recorded as part of a three-year study to better understand how wildlife interacts on main roads in and around Santa Cruz Mountains, POST said in a statement.

Scientific studies have previously shown that coyotes and badgers hunt together, according to POST.
