Louisville Kentucky Teen Expelled For Photo Of Rainbow Shirt And Cake At Her Birthday

Huffpo reports Kayla Kenney is a freshman at Whitefield Academy in Louisville, Kentucky.

Kenney wore the rainbow shirt to a restaurant for her birthday and had a cake topped with rainbow icing.

After seeing the photos of the celebration on facebook, Whitefield’s head of school expelled her.

The head of school stated this demonstrated “a posture of morality and cultural acceptance contrary to Whitefield Academy’s beliefs".
