Woman repeatedly punched and kicked police officers in Cambridgeshire

At around 7:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, two Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a reported domestic situation involving a man armed with a gun at a home in the 4700 block of Santala Drive. The officers arrived at the scene at around 7:50 a.m. Officers entered the home and announced themselves as KPD officers. Seconds later, they encountered a man armed with a handgun, who then shot a woman who was inside of the home. Officers fired in response, striking the man at least one time. Officers immediately requested medical assistance.
