IANS Exclusive: Former England Cricketer Paul Taylor on England & Indian Cricket
IANS Exclusive: While answering the question that How do you see the growth of England cricket and also the Indian cricket, Former England Test cricketer Paul Taylor answered, “Cricket is growing globally, especially among women and girls, which increases the demand on groundmen. Hybrid pitches offer a practical solution to meet this demand without needing new stadiums. This is particularly beneficial in India, where the demand for quality pitches is rising. Hybrid pitches can support both major stadiums and local community cricket, aiding talent development by providing consistent playing surfaces from youth to professional levels. Hybrid pitches have been ECB-approved for white ball cricket since 2019 and are being trialed in four-day county cricket this season with positive initial feedback. Though not yet approved for Test matches, they have ICC approval for white ball cricket and could be a valuable asset for state associations and the broader cricket community. #Cricket #England #TestCricket #PaulTaylor #IANSInterview #CricketNews #IndianCricket
