Nitin Gadkari announces 'cashless treatment' scheme for road accident victims

Union minister Nitin Gadkari has introduced the 'Cashless Treatment' scheme offering up to Rs 1.5 lakh for seven days of treatment for road accident victims, if reported to police within 24 hours. Additionally, Rs two lakh will be provided for families of deceased victims in hit-and-run cases.
