IAF chief cites China's fighter jets to stress on self-reliance

In a significant escalation of the ongoing war, Russian forces have shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet and destroyed several Western-made military assets. Russian defense authorities have reported the loss of two Leopard tanks, an M113 armored personnel carrier, and a 105mm L-119 cannon, among other equipment. Over 410 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the latest clashes in Donetsk, with Moscow also repelling 17 counterattacks from Ukraine’s armed forces.
