Myanmar hilsa gives Kolkata's fish lovers unseasonal surprise

Fresh hilsa from Myanmar has surprised Kolkata fish lovers in November, well beyond the usual July-October season. Air-flown consignments of 4-6 tonnes per week are arriving, offering a fresher and, according to some, tastier alternative to the typical Bangladeshi imports.
