Maha Kumbh 2025: Jewish transgender Isha Benjamin joins Kinnar akhara, set to become mahant

Isha Benjamin, a 45-year-old Jewish transgender woman from Mumbai, has joined the Kinnar Akhara and is set to become its Mahant during the Maha Kumbh. Isha, who has a Jewish father and Hindu mother, will be consecrated as Mahant, a significant leadership role within the Akhara.
