Nationwide Protest Over Kolkata Rape Case: Madhya Pradesh Comes To a Pause Amid Tense Situation
A 24-hour nationwide medical strike has begun in India, protesting the Rape and Murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. Over a million doctors are expected to participate, causing widespread disruption to non-emergency medical services. The strike, which started at 6am Saturday, has led hospitals to turn away non-critical patients. Emergency services remain operational.
