Mumbai, Thane likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places: IMD

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) rain alert issued on Saturday, Mumbai, Raigad, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places on Sunday, July 28. The flood-hit districts of Pune and Kolhapur are also likely to receive heavy rainfall on Sunday.

Heavy rains hit eastern Rajasthan, with lighter showers elsewhere, causing temperatures to drop by up to 4°C across the state. Dausa received the highest rainfall at 20 cm. A cyclonic circulation over north-west Uttar Pradesh is influencing the monsoon trough line, which now passes through Ganganagar and Jaipur. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre predicts continued rainfall in eastern Rajasthan and parts of Bikaner division for the next 4-5 days.
