Puja inside Gyanvapi: ‘Freedom of religion can’t be taken away by arbitrary action of state’

The Allahabad High Court dismissed the appeal by Anjuman Intezamia Masajid challenging the Varanasi district judge's order allowing puja in the basement of Vyas Tehkhana. The court found the 1993 order stopping puja to be illegal and a continuous wrong perpetuated by the state.
