Maharashtra: Dandapatta declared state weapon during Shivaji Jayanti celebrations

On the 350th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's coronation, dandapatta was declared as the state weapon. It holds an important place as a Maratha weapon and is a distinctive weapon of the Maratha army. Maharashtra became the first state to announce dandapatta as a state weapon.
