As a precautionary measure after a mid-air emergency, Alaska Airlines has decided to temporarily suspend the operations of its complete fleet, consisting of 65 Boeing 737-9 aircraft. This decision comes in response to an incident on Friday night, where a window blew out mid-air shortly after takeoff from Portland International Airport en route to Ontario, California.
