Stalin defends son, says BJP spreading false narrative

Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Thursday came to his son and DMK minister Udhayanidhi's defence, saying he had expressed views on Sanatan principles that discriminated against Scheduled Castes, tribals and women, with no intention to offend any religion or religious beliefs.

Political shadowboxing over ‘Sanatana Dharma’ Row in Tamil Nadu is showing no signs of stopping as both ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leaders and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are not missing any opportunity to slam each other. In that sequence, BJP heavyweight K Annamalai on September 07 launched a blistering attack on CM Stalin for backing his son over his remarks on ‘Sanatana Dharma’ and went on to assert that DMK stands for Dengue, Malaria, and Kosu. "Both of you have toned down in your statements because you know you are fighting a lost battle. But you have spoken some lies about PM Modi ji. It is my duty to respond to that. PM Modi is busy so please don't bother PM Modi to respond to your unfounded, false, and diabolical allegations," the Tamil Nadu Politician added.
