Kolkata: MTP conducted on 11-year-old rape survivor, baby born alive

The medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) on the 11-year-old gang rape survivor was completed on Thursday night at the state-run SSKM hospital but the foetus, which was more than 28 weeks old, was born alive as doctors avoided surgery on the young girl to spare her future health complications.
