Chandrayaan-3 Big Update: ‘Vikram’ Lander Steps Closer To Moon, To Undergo `Deboosting` Today

India’s Moon mission is a step closer to achieving its goal of a soft landing on the lunar surface. The Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has successfully split up from the propulsion module, the Indian Space Research Organisation announced yesterday. The main purpose of the module was to accompany the lander and the rover to the 100 km lunar orbit. It will now proceed on its path in the current orbit for months or even years.
