Punjab: 44 hours on, man stuck in Jalandhar pit taken out dead

The body of Suresh Kumar (54), a technical worker of a company carrying out the construction of Delhi-Katra expressway, who got stuck in a pit near Basrampur village, 20 km from here, on Saturday, was taken out on Monday - after 44-hour rescue mission. The pit was dug to build a pillar as part of the expressway project.
