Haryana violence: Nuh SP transferred, internet suspended, 93 FIRs filed

So far, at least five people have been killed in the communal flare-ups that first erupted in Haryana’s Nuh on Monday and then spread to Gurgaon yesterday. Gurgaon Police have said that they have arrested five people in the mosque case. The Haryana government has said that it has filed a total of 44 FIRs and 80 have been arrested. To bring the situation under control, mobile internet services have been suspended in Nuh and Faridabad up to Wednesday. Also, the authorities have imposed Section 144 in the adjoining districts. The repercussions of Monday's communal clash also extended to sector 70 in Gurugram, situated less than 20 km from the national capital, New Delhi. On Tuesday night, a shop and several shanties near a residential complex were torched by enraged group of people. At least 176 people were placed under arrest and 78 in detention. The 93 FIRs were filed in five districts, including 46 in Nuh, 23 in Gurgaon and 18 in Palwal.
