Chances of landslides high for next few days, geologist claims

For a period of over eight to 10 days, the Western ghats have witnessed rainfall of over 100mm continuously. Therefore, the next 36-72 hours are crucial as chances of landslides occuring are high, said geological expert Hemant Kulkarni, speaking at a workshop in Satara.
