उत्तर प्रदेश में वाराणसी की जिला अदालत ने सोमवार को ज्ञानवापी शृंगार गौरी मामले की विचारणीयता पर सवाल उठाने वाली मुस्लिम पक्ष की याचिका खारिज कर दी और कहा कि वह देवी-देवताओं की दैनिक पूजा के अधिकार के अनुरोध वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई जारी रखेगी, जिनके विग्रह ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद की बाहरी दीवार पर स्थित हैं। जिला न्यायाधीश ए.के. विश्वेश ने अंजुमन इंतेजामिया मस्जिद समिति की याचिका को खारिज कर दिया, जिसमें मामले की विचारणीयता पर सवाल उठाया गया था। मुस्लिम पक्ष ने अदालत के इस फैसले को उच्च न्यायालय में चुनौती देने की घोषणा की है। इसके साथ ही काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर-ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद विवाद एक बार फिर सुर्खियों में आ गया है
