In Pakistan to meet Facebook friend, Alwar woman says will be home soon

Arvind Kumar, the husband of Anju, who has travelled to a remote village in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to meet her Facebook friend Nasrullah, appealed to her on Monday to return home soon. He said although she had kept her Pakistan visit plans a secret from him, he would welcome his wife on her return.

Anju, the Indian mother of two children travelled to a remote village in Pakistan and married her Facebook friend. Reports have emerged that she has now converted to Islam and renamed herself Fatima. As per reports, 34-year-old Anju was staying at her 29-year-old Pakistani friend Nasrullah's home in the Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where they became friends on Facebook in 2019. Amid tight security, both Fatima and Nasrullah tied the knot in a local court of a district and sessions judge.
