Mob surrounds Meghalaya CM's residence, 5 security personnel injured in clashes

At least five Meghalaya policemen have been injured in clash with a mob which laid siege to the office of state chief minister Conrad Sangma in Tura this evening.Sangma and one of his PHE minister are trapped inside his office as mobs started pelting stones. Police resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the crowd.

A mob attacked the office of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday which left five security personnel injured while the CM was unhurt. The incident took place after hundreds of people gathered outside the CM's office and started throwing stones. Five security personnel were injured in the attack and were brought inside Sangma's office.
