Foreign Secretary Kwatra meets Sri Lankan foreign minister; discusses President Wickremesinghe's India visit

The European Parliament was scheduled to discuss the situation in Manipur. But India said that it has been made clear to the European parliamentarians that this is a matter absolutely internal to India. That India had tried to persuade European Union parliamentarians to reconsider their decision to submit resolutions for a discussion on Manipur. Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said that the Manipur question is a matter totally internal to India. Earlier, a motion for a resolution on the Manipur situation was tabled in the Brussels-based EU parliament.
