George Clooney Addresses Exaggerated Pay Reports on Wolfs
In a recent press conference for the new film "Wolfs," actor George Clooney commented about Apple's decision to change the film's release from a wide theatrical release to a limited one. He mentioned a New York Times report that stated he and Brad Pitt were paid more than $35 million each for the film. However, Clooney clarified that the reported amount was exaggerated and emphasized that it is detrimental to the industry to have false information circulating. Regarding the changing state of the industry and the rise of streaming platforms, Clooney acknowledged the necessity of streaming for the film industry. He emphasized that streamers like Apple and Amazon, while benefiting from having films released on their platforms, still require the support and collaboration of traditional distributors like Sony and Warner Bros. Clooney believes that the industry is currently undergoing a revolutionary phase and that there is still more to figure out.
