UK to fund £84m health and education projects in Africa and Middle East in bid to stop illegal migration

Sir Keir Starmer says the UK will not solve its problems if it does not have the "maturity and leadership" to extend "a hand to our European friends". Speaking at a press conference at the end of the European Political Community summit, the prime minister says "it is not just a good idea to work with our partners, it's essential”.
