The Lok Sabha was adjourned until 12 noon after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi raised the NEET issue and, along with other Opposition MPs, demanded an immediate discussion on the matter. However, Speaker Om Birla insisted that the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address should be prioritised. Rahul Gandhi expressed the Opposition's intent to convey a unified message to Indian students, emphasising the importance of the NEET issue. He stated, "We wanted to give a joint message to the students of India, on behalf of the Opposition and Government - that we consider this an important issue.
