Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reports 60 casualties resulting from rain-related incidents since the onset of landslides and continuous rainfall. In Mandi district, the second-highest death toll stands at 24 as a consequence of the devastating landslides. Himachal Pradesh University has suspended teaching activities until August 19. More rainfall is expected for the next 4 days. The Indian Army is conducting flood relief operations in various districts, including Shimla, Fatehpur, Indora, and Kangra.
