PM Modi had recognized the potential of space as a game changer for India: BN Ramkrishna
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) BN Ramkrishna while addressing an event in Bengaluru said that During the Chandrayaan-2 mission, Prime Minister Modi's commitment to spreading scientific knowledge was evident as he arranged for students from across India to witness the landing event at ISRO's control center. Despite meticulous planning, the mission ended in a hard landing instead of the intended soft landing, leading to a tense and emotional atmosphere. Modi, present at the control center, consoled the team, emphasizing that failures are part of the journey to success. He encouraged them to analyze what went wrong and confidently predicted future success, which materialized with Chandrayaan-3's successful landing on August 23rd, 2023. Watching live from South Africa, Modi celebrated the achievement as a victory for all humanity, emphasizing that the scientific data from the mission would benefit the entire world. Reflecting on his earlier support, Modi had recognized the potential of space as a game changer for India, organizing conferences to educate various ministries on the vast benefits of space technology for sectors like agriculture, oceanography, and remote sensing. #isro #nasa #space #drdo #india #chandrayaan #isromissions #astronomy #BNRamkrishna
