Five people were killed, including a shooter, and around 21 were injured in a gun rampage in the cities of Midland and Odessa in west Texas on Saturday.

There are reports a suspect hijacked a U.S. mail carrier truck and was shooting at people at random.

Police Chief Michael Gerke said authorities are working on identifying the suspect.

I don't have a positive identification on him, yet.

I have an idea who he is, so I won't release that information until we're absolutely positive." The shooter was reportedly shot and killed in a movie theater parking lot.

The shooting came after 22 people were killed at a Walmart in El Paso earlier this month.
