Protesters Work to Smash Through Glass at Hong Kong Legislative Council Building

Protesters in Hong Kong tried to smash their way through the glass facade of the Legislative Council building on Monday, July 1.

Anti-extradition protests reignited on that date, the 22nd anniversary of the handover of the former British colony to China.

This footage was captured by Abdulkadir Alkan and shows demonstrators chanting and pummeling the glass repeatedly with a pole.
