China's Lunar Lander Finds Evidence Of Moon's Mantle

According to Gizmodo, scientists in China released their first batch of data from the Chang’e 4 lunar lander.

China's lander touched down on the far side of the lunar surface back in January for a scientific mission.

Since then, the rover has been exploring the Aitken basin at the Moon's South Pole.

But the basin is also a massive impact crater.

The first batch of data from the Chang’e 4 suggests that some of the Moon's mantle reached the lunar surface.
