Cyclone Fani Batters Odisha State Capital Bhubaneswar

Cyclone Fani hit the eastern Indian state of Odisha on May 3, bringing strong winds and rain to the city of Bhubaneswar, as seen in this video.

The cyclone, the strongest to hit the region in 20 years, brought wind speeds of up to 180 km/h, left a trail of damage, uprooting trees, and destroying properties.

Thousands of people were evacuated from the state before the cyclone made landfall.

The cyclone hit West Bengal as a cyclonic storm and was expected to hit Bangladesh on Saturday afternoon, the Times of India said.
