Rule 2: Don't Try to Game Every Earnings Report

Jim Cramer's breaking down his top five rules around earnings season.

Cramer explained his rules on his exclusive, members-only Action Alerts Plus monthly call.

He explained that his second rule around earnings season is being careful to not "game a quarter." "Rule number two, don't make any big decisions in or around earnings to try to game what a quarter will be.

Instead if you have to, wait," said Cramer.

"Even if the stock goes higher without you.

It just isn't worth the pain and second guessing about how you had just waited you would have done so much better.

Unless you have ice in your veins, it's worth the wait." Want to learn about Jim Cramer's other rules for earnings season?
