Barr Clashes With Lawmakers After Mentioning Spying On 2016 Trump Campaign

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, US Attorney General William Barr clashed with lawmakers over whether 'spying' occurred on President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, and said that a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report will be released next week.

Barr reportedly said that spying on Trump's campaign was carried out by US intelligence agencies, later focusing his concerns on 'unauthorized surveillance.'

Reuters reports that Barr told the committee he would review all intelligence activities directed at Trump’s 2016 campaign.
