Astronauts embark on six and a half hour spacewalk

An American and Canadian astronaut have begun a six and a half hour spacewalk to update the power system on the International Space Station.

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) An American and Canadian astronaut began a six and a half hour spacewalk on Monday to update the International Space Station's power system.

NASA astronaut Anne McClain and Canadian astronaut David Saint-Jacques are performing the work.

This is Saint-Jacques first spacewalk.

He's the first Canadian to perform a spacewalk in 12 years.
